Short Bio
Kevin Alexander Boon is an award-winning filmmaker and the author and editor of a dozen books, including Script Culture and the American Screenplay (Wayne State), At Millennium’s End (SUNY), Absolute Zero (novel, Fort Schuyler) and a number of books on Kurt Vonnegut, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, Virginia Woolf and other writers. His films have screened internationally at numerous festivals. His screenplay, An Unmarked Grave, took first place for horror in the ISA screenplay competition in 2016. Kevin is also an award-winning poet and short-story writer, a skilled composer and musician, and a produced playwright and professional screenwriter. He was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2011 for his short story “The Angels of Marie Fontaine,” and has won numerous awards for his feature films. Kevin lives in Pennsylvania where he teaches writing, film, and literature as a Professor of English and Media Studies for Penn State on the Mont Alto campus.
